RAISING RENNERTS

Growing up together — because I became a mom before I became myself. And somehow, we’re all becoming something beautiful.

My Why: How Becoming a Mom Young Shaped Everything

Mama and Roo sleeping

I’ve held this name — Raising Rennerts — close to my heart for years.
It started with a spark. A dream. A deep knowing that my story wasn’t just happening to me — it was happening for someone else, too.

I became a mom at 17.
I wasn’t ready. But I showed up anyway.
I had to grow up while raising a baby — and honestly? I still am.
We’re growing up together. And that’s where my why lives.

When I looked around back then, I didn’t see much for someone like me.
Not a lot of real, hopeful, non-judgy support for teen moms or young moms who felt like their timeline broke before it even started.
Most of what I found came with a quiet message: your life is over.

But mine wasn’t.
It was just beginning — differently.

Eventually, I found a woman online whose story gave me a little spark of hope. But I still didn’t see my story. I needed someone to say:

“This is scary. But you’re going to be okay. You’re not broken. You’re just becoming.”

So I decided to become that voice.

Now, I write for the young moms.
The tired moms.
The “no” moms who want to find their way back to yes.

If you’ve ever felt behind, ashamed, overwhelmed, or underestimated — this space is for you.
You can still be successful.
You can still have the life you dreamed of.
You can still become someone your future self will be proud of.
Even if you’re scared. Even if it’s hard.

I’m not perfect. But I’m present.
I’m still growing up. And if you are too, you’re not alone.
We’re figuring it out — one messy, meaningful, beautiful day at a time.

This is my why. And maybe, just maybe… it’s yours too.

xx

Big loves, my little Rainbow Ruby! 🫶🏼

(What I actually wanted to type:) Goooooood grief. You would think this would be easier BUT it is not. Like, at all. Not even close. I have officially declared war on the linear passage of time.

I was 2 years old when Toy Story came out. Now I’ I was 2 years old when Toy Story came out.

Now I’m almost 32, and somehow my youngest is nearly the same age I was when I first met Woody and Buzz.

These Toy Story reels get me every single time because they remind me how quickly the years move.

One minute you’re the kid sitting cross-legged in front of the TV believing toys come alive when you leave the room. The next, you’re buying replacement Woody boots because your child has worn the first pair completely out.

I’ve had three kids, and they’ve all had their favorite characters, movies, and phases. But no one loved Woody quite like Dash.

There was a time when every day involved a cowboy hat, Woody boots, and endless adventures. The wonder, the excitement, and the way he looked at that cowboy like he was completely real is something I’ll never forget.

The hat and the two pairs of Woody boots have long since been retired to the memory box, but the memories never will be.

And I have thoroughly enjoyed being “Andy’s mom“. 🤠🐴👨‍🚀🥔🐑🦖🐷
